I’m Irene Infantes Capdevila, a graphic designer and art director based in Sydney, originally from Madrid, Spain.

I’ve been drawn to art and the creative world for as long as I can remember, taking art classes and photography courses before I even knew where that curiosity would take me. I later studied Advertising and Public Relations at the Universidad Complutense de Madrid, before further specialising in creativity at Brother Madrid and in graphic design through a Master’s degree at CEI.

That mix has shaped the way I approach design: as a way to tell stories, create meaning and connect with people. For me, design has to feel right, but it also has to say something, serve a purpose and bring an idea to life with clarity.

Throughout my career, I’ve gained experience across both agency-side and in-house brand environments. I began at Dentsu Iberia, working on campaigns for brands such as Heinz, Red Cross, Simyo and CaixaBank. I later joined Fruga, and more recently worked at Sylvia P Group in the apparel sector, contributing across Every Turn, Sylvia P and Sylvia P Teamwear.

My work has been recognised with industry honours, including a shortlist at El Sol Festival in Product Design and a Silver award at Premios Control in Graphic Campaign for Heinz’s The Jewel Inside campaign.
